I just love roasted pumpkin seeds! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy carving my pumpkin, but the big treat for me is the seeds. This year we had six pumpkins to carve so we had about 5-6 cups of seeds for roasting.
I use a simple recipe that can be modified to suit your taste. I have only tried the garlic and salt recipe below…but I think I might give it a kick next year with some cayenne pepper.
I threw this carving event together quickly so the treats were simple but full of Halloween fun. I think a chalkboard always adds a bit of interest to any event so I’m constantly updating and redrawing on mine.
I always set up the table the same way when I have a “craft” type event. I like to set kraft paper place settings out for all the kids to sit at. This offers a tiny bit of protection to the table, allows me to letter, and gives everyone a spot to sketch out ideas or try out colors if they are painting.
