In just 23 days, it’ll be Christmas! I know how hectic this season can be, and despite the use of cell phones to make lists, I still find that paper and pencil work best for me. Since I’m striving to untangle chaos, be organized, and stay present, I created a free Christmas printable to help keep all of your shopping in order. If you’re hosting Christmas this year, here’s a free printable to help in your party planning adventures. Before we dive into the printable, let’s look at a few fun things to consider doing this Christmas season.
3 Fun Things to Try This December
This year I’m making every effort to do as many holiday-related activities as possible. If you’re in the midwest area and up for a drive, here are three things to get your holiday spirit in full gear.
Each year, this cute little town creates the most magical Christmas Walk. The evening is kicked off with the lighting of the Christmas tree! The streets are bustling with a live nativity, strolling carolers, free carriage rides, chestnut roasting, and shops that offer hot apple cider to anyone passing through their store. One of my favorite things to do is watch as they make candy canes at Graham’s Fine Chocolate and Ice Cream. I’m pretty sure you’ll find a few gifts to place under the Christmas tree and catch a little Christmas fever too!
My friend Jen has been talking about making ornaments for years, and I’m finally giving it a try this year! I did a google search and found several glass-artists that offer workshops. The one I’m going to is hosted by Robert Fritz Glass. The annual latticinio pull and holiday shop are open December 6-8. Each year he has guest artists that feature fused glass, ceramics, drawing, and chocolates. I can’t wait to give this a try!
Get your winter gear ready for tubing and some cross country skiing! I’m not crazy about cold weather, but I love a good winter workout. If I have enough time to mentally prepare for the cold day ahead, I usually find that being outside for the day isn’t too bad. Blackwell Forest Preserve has the longest snow tubing run in Illinois! I bet it’s a ton of fun, and as soon as we get some snow, I know where I’m headed!
That’s just a few of the things that I plan on doing in these next few weeks. I hope these get your mind going and that you too find something fun to do this season. I’ll create a December Bucket List printable and link it up once I have it finished. Let me know what fun things you have planned this Christmas season!

Here’s the Christmas Printable. I’m using this to keep track of all the gifts that I’m buying. It helps so much to know that I have things purchased, when they are arriving, and also where I hid them! How many times have you purchased something perfect only to forget where you stashed it! I hope this printable helps you and that this post gave you a little inspiration for fun things to try this December!
