Time to Plan!
When the year begins to wind down, I always get the urge to start looking for a new planner! My brother gave me a Tumi planner ages ago and I used it religiously until I got my first Palm Pilot (if you don’t know what a PP is, then I’m guessing I’m a bit older than you!). All of these years later, I’m back to using a good ol’ fashion planner. I have tried planning using my phone, but it isn’t the same. I missed writing!
Custom Planner…
This year I created a custom planner; the inside was perfect, all of the tweaks and changes reflected my day, but I wasn’t crazy about the cover. When I went to order it, they said it would be $17.00 to ship it, and it wasn’t going to arrive until mid-January. There was no way I was going to wait that long. That meant that half of January would be a hot mess!
What’s a girl to do?
So I scoured the internet, which really means Amazon, and I found the coolest felt A5 planner. I purchased blank A5 paper, some planner stickers, and I created my own printable planner. This was a fantastic fix! I now have the planner that I want, customized to my exact liking, and I didn’t have to wait…woohoo!!! I’ll make that printable planner available later this year for you on Etsy. Before you start planning out your year, take a minute to read over this post on visual board planning…I think it will make a big difference in your daily planning!
A Printable Solution!!
What should you do in the meantime if you’re patiently waiting for your planner to arrive? Don’t panic, I created a daily sheet that you can print to get you through this rough time. This printable works best if you print horizontally and select 2 per page, double-sided. I used this printable for a while to see if I liked it. It kept me on track and was really the starting point for my new A5 planner.

How to Best Use your Planner Printable.
I have read over and over that the best way to 1. get good sleep, and 2. be productive the next day, is to plan the night before. At night I always tend to remember everything that I didn’t get to do that day, but wanted to. I add these tasks to the top of my planner sheet. This not only gives me direction for the previous day, but it also lets me get over it the day of. I can sleep with peace of mind knowing that tomorrow I’ll be getting my work done!
Cheers to Planning!
I hope you enjoy using this printable. Be sure to tag me with your planner pages! I love to see that these printables are hard at work and what you’re working on.
